Requirements

Successful Azure Administrators for government start this role with experience in virtualization, networking, identity, and storage. They should possess the following competencies:

  • An understanding of on-premises virtualization technologies, including virtual machines (VMs), virtual networking, and virtual hard disks.
  • Knowledge of network configurations, encompassing TCP/IP, Domain Name System (DNS), virtual private networks (VPNs), firewalls, and encryption technologies.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory concepts, such as users, groups, and role-based access control.
  • An understanding of resilience and disaster recovery strategies, including backup and restore operations.
