MultiChain: Set Up a Private Blockchain Training Course

MultiChain is an open-source platform designed for building private blockchain applications. It addresses the challenges associated with bitcoin by limiting ledger visibility and enabling institutions to implement transaction controls while eliminating the need for distributed mining.

In this instructor-led, live training, participants will learn how to utilize MultiChain to establish a private blockchain and develop a sample application tailored for government use.

By the end of this training, participants will be able to:

• Install and use the tools necessary for MultiChain development for government.
• Create, connect, configure, and manage their own private Blockchain.
• Set up an initial node, initiate the genesis block, and enable private mining using other nodes within the network.
• Transact native assets, control mining processes, and install MultiChain Explorer and webDemo for enhanced functionality.
• Use API commands to manage MultiChain operations and handle error codes and messages effectively.
• Customize runtime parameters that influence the behavior of individual nodes.
• Develop a consensual governance model for the blockchain to ensure compliance with public sector workflows and accountability standards.
• Install and use popular bitcoin wallets and libraries to connect to a MultiChain blockchain in a government context.

Format of the Course

• Part lecture, part discussion, with practical exercises and extensive hands-on practice.
