This standard supports both the United States Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and the United Kingdom Ministry of Defence Architecture Framework (MODAF). The UPDM aims to enhance interoperability and consistency in architecture modeling, ensuring that it aligns with the needs and requirements for government use.
