Course Outline

Day 1:

Introduction to ISO 22301 and the initiation of a Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) for government.

Day 2:

Development of an implementation plan for a BCMS.

Day 3:

Implementation of a BCMS in alignment with public sector workflows and governance.

Day 4:

Monitoring, continuous improvement, and preparation for the certification audit of a BCMS.

Day 5:

Preparation for the certification examination.

The “PECB Certified ISO 22301 Lead Implementer” exam adheres to the PECB Examination and Certification Program (ECP) requirements. This exam assesses competency in the following domains:

  • Domain 1: Core business continuity principles and concepts
  • Domain 2: Requirements for a BCMS
  • Domain 3: Planning the implementation of a BCMS based on ISO 22301
  • Domain 4: Implementing a BCMS in accordance with ISO 22301
  • Domain 5: Evaluating performance and monitoring measurements of a BCMS based on ISO 22301
  • Domain 6: Continuous improvement of a BCMS based on ISO 22301
  • Domain 7: Preparing for a BCMS certification audit

Requirements

Attendees of this training course must possess a foundational understanding of business continuity concepts and a thorough knowledge of Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) implementation principles for government.
