Learning Objectives
- Understand the components and operations of a Quality Management System (QMS) and its primary processes.
- Acknowledge the relationship between ISO 9001 and other standards and regulatory frameworks for government.
- Comprehend the methodologies, techniques, and approaches used for implementing and managing a QMS in public sector environments.
Educational Approach

- Practice tests mirror the format and difficulty of the Certification Exam, preparing participants for successful completion.
- Day 1: Introduction to quality concepts, QMS principles, and an in-depth review of ISO 9001 clauses 4–6.
- Day 2: Examination of ISO 9001 clauses 7–10 and the certification exam.
The examination is designed to meet the requirements of the PECB Examination and Certificate Programme. It covers the following competency domains:
Domain 1: Fundamental concepts and principles of quality management and a QMS based on ISO 9001, tailored for government applications.
Domain 2: Detailed ISO 9001 requirements for a quality management system — covering clauses 4 to 10, with emphasis on their relevance for government operations.
