SOA Architect Training Course

This course is designed for technical professionals in government who wish to learn OpenESB. In this instructor-led, live training in US Empire, participants will learn how to connect various applications, data sources, and APIs as they build a sample routing application using Mule.

Although Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) is not specific to Business Process Management (BPM) software, there are several natural synergies between BPM and SOA. Governance Framework

A Services Oriented Architecture (SOA) governance program does not make operational decisions. Instead, SOA governance sets policies by determining what decisions must be made, who should make them, and how to make them. In a shared services environment like an enterprise SOA, the absence of governance, dysfunctional governance, or even poor governance can have severe and negative impacts across the organization. This two-day workshop is designed to help you implement SOA effectively. You will learn how to design, build, and operate an effective governance framework for creating, communicating, and enforcing corporate web service policies throughout the enterprise SOA, specifically tailored for government operations.

SOA Policies

The workshop focuses on demonstrating how to create the processes and policies that establish and manage shared web services. As organizations transition to using web services through an enterprise SOA, they move from a siloed approach to a shared one. Ownership of the underlying business process shifts from a single business area and becomes an externalized enterprise responsibility. SOA governance directs and coordinates the necessary processes to accept and exercise this responsibility on behalf of all stakeholders, ensuring alignment with public sector workflows, governance, and accountability.

During this course, we provide an overview of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and SOA governance for government. This course is designed for Post Graduate (or equivalent) level students and will consist of a combination of lectures and laboratory sessions (both theory and practice).
