Requirements

  • Experience managing Windows Server operating systems and workloads in on-premises environments, including Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), DNS, Distributed File System (DFS), Hyper-V, and File and Storage Services.
  • Familiarity with common Windows Server management tools, which is typically implied by the first prerequisite.
  • Basic understanding of core Microsoft compute, storage, networking, and virtualization technologies, also generally covered by the first prerequisite.
  • Basic knowledge of on-premises resiliency solutions for Windows Server-based compute and storage, such as Failover Clustering and Storage Spaces.
  • Experience with implementing and managing Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) services in Microsoft Azure.
  • Fundamental understanding of Azure Active Directory.
  • Basic knowledge of security technologies, including firewalls, encryption, multi-factor authentication, and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)/Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) systems.
  • Basic proficiency in PowerShell scripting.
