About This Course
This course is designed to cover three essential areas of Microsoft 365 enterprise administration: security management, compliance management, and device management. In the security management section, you will explore common threat vectors and data breaches affecting organizations today, and learn how Microsoft 365’s security solutions can mitigate these threats. You will be introduced to tools such as Microsoft Secure Score and Azure Active Directory Identity Protection, and gain hands-on experience managing Microsoft 365 security services like Exchange Online Protection, Advanced Threat Protection, Safe Attachments, and Safe Links. The course also covers the use of reports to monitor your organization’s security health, as well as the application of threat intelligence through the Security Dashboard and Advanced Threat Analytics.
Once the security components are established, you will delve into compliance management. This section begins with an overview of data governance, including topics such as data archiving and retention, Information Rights Management, Secure Multipurpose Internet Mail Extension (S/MIME), Office 365 message encryption, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP). You will explore in-depth how to implement these practices, focusing on in-place records management in SharePoint, archiving and retention policies in Exchange, and the use of the Security and Compliance Center. The course also covers building ethical walls in Exchange Online, creating DLP policies from templates, customizing DLP policies, protecting documents, and managing policy tips.
The compliance section further examines how to manage data governance in Microsoft 365, including troubleshooting retention policies and sensitive data issues. You will learn about implementing Azure Information Protection and Windows Information Protection, as well as conducting search and investigation tasks such as content searches, auditing log investigations, and advanced eDiscovery management.
Finally, the course provides an in-depth look at device management within Microsoft 365. You will plan for various aspects of device management, including preparing Windows 10 devices for co-management, transitioning from Configuration Manager to Intune, and using the Microsoft Store for Business and Mobile Application Management. The implementation phase covers strategies for deploying Windows 10, using Windows Autopilot, Windows Analytics, and Mobile Device Management (MDM). You will learn how to deploy MDM, enroll devices, and manage device compliance.
