Course Outline
Day 1: Overview of Artificial Intelligence Management Systems (AIMS) and ISO/IEC 42001 standards
Day 2: In-depth analysis of AIMS and administration of the certification examination
Examination
The ISO/IEC 42001 Foundation examination satisfies all criteria established by the PECB Examination and Certification Program (ECP) and addresses the following competency areas:
Domain 1: Core principles and theoretical underpinnings of Artificial Intelligence Management Systems (AIMS)
Domain 2: Operational implementation and management of Artificial Intelligence Management Systems (AIMS)

Certification
Following successful completion of the examination, candidates may apply for the “PECB Certificate Holder in ISO/IEC 42001 Foundation” credential. Additional information concerning ISO/IEC 42001 certifications and the PECB certification protocol is available in the Certification Rules and Policies.
The eligibility requirements for the ISO/IEC 42001 Foundation certificate are defined as follows:
General Provisions
- Examination and certification fees are incorporated into the total cost of the training program.
- Participants will receive comprehensive training materials comprising over 200 pages of technical content, practical case studies, exercises, and assessments.
- Participants who complete the course will be issued a certificate of completion, valued at 14 CPD (Continuing Professional Development) credits.
- Individuals who have completed the training but did not pass the examination are permitted one complimentary retake within 12 months of the initial examination date.
Requirements
No prior experience or specific prerequisites are required for enrollment in this training program.
