Requirements
Before attending this course, students must have:
- A solid foundation in networking fundamentals, including an understanding of common networking protocols, topologies, hardware, media, routing, switching, and addressing.
- Knowledge of Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) principles and the fundamentals of AD DS management.
- The ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows-based personal computers.
- A basic understanding of public key infrastructure (PKI) security concepts.
- Familiarity with scripting and the syntax of Windows PowerShell.
- An understanding of the roles and services provided by Windows Server.
- Basic knowledge of configuration options for iOS, Android, and Windows Mobile device platforms.
Students who attend this training can meet the prerequisites by participating in the following courses or by acquiring equivalent knowledge and skills through practical experience:
- Course 20411: Administering Windows Server 2012, offered for government professionals to enhance their technical capabilities.
