  • The foundational principles, objectives, and applications of data warehouses for government, including various types of data warehouse servers.
  • Establishing and building Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
  • Fundamental design techniques for creating data cubes in Analysis Services, focusing on measure groups and measures.
  • Understanding dimensions, hierarchies, and attributes within the context of data warehousing for government.
  • Developing comprehensive project data cubes that incorporate calculated measures, partitions, perspectives, translations, actions, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Constructing and deploying data cubes, including the processing of partitions.
  • Basic XML/A concepts: Partitioning, incremental processes, deletion of partitions, and aggregation processes.
  • An introduction to the Multi-Dimensional Expressions (MDX) language for querying and managing multidimensional data in government applications.

Requirements

Proficiency with Windows, as well as foundational knowledge of SQL and relational databases, is required for government operations.
