Requirements

In addition to their professional experience, participants who attend this training should already possess the following technical knowledge:

  • A minimum of two years of experience administering Windows Server.
  • A minimum of two years of experience working with Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS).
  • A minimum of two years of experience working with name resolution, including Domain Name System (DNS).
  • An understanding of TCP/IP and networking concepts.
  • An understanding of security principles such as authentication and authorization.
  • An understanding of Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP).
  • Practical knowledge of public key infrastructure (PKI) technologies, including Active Directory Certificate Services (AD CS).

Audience

This course is designed for enterprise-level messaging administrators who manage Exchange Server. IT generalists and helpdesk professionals who are interested in learning about Exchange Server may also benefit from this training. Participants should have at least two years of experience working in the IT field, typically in areas such as Windows Server administration, network administration, helpdesk support, or system administration. While prior experience managing Exchange Server is not a prerequisite, attendees should have some familiarity with Exchange Server concepts to fully benefit from the course for government environments.
