Requirements

  • Basic conceptual understanding of Microsoft Azure for government.
  • Experience with Windows 10 devices in a public sector environment.
  • Experience with Office 365 for government operations.
  • Basic understanding of authorization and authentication principles.
  • Basic knowledge of computer networks, particularly those used in government settings.
  • Working knowledge of managing mobile devices within government workflows.

Audience:

The Microsoft 365 Security Administrator for government collaborates with the Microsoft 365 Enterprise Administrator, business stakeholders, and other workload administrators to plan and implement security strategies. This role ensures that solutions comply with the policies and regulations of the organization. The administrator proactively secures Microsoft 365 enterprise environments within the public sector. Responsibilities include responding to threats, implementing, managing, and monitoring security and compliance solutions for the Microsoft 365 environment. They are also responsible for incident response, investigations, and enforcement of data governance practices. The Microsoft 365 Security Administrator is familiar with Microsoft 365 workloads and hybrid environments, particularly those relevant to government operations. This role requires strong skills and experience in identity protection, information protection, threat protection, security management, and data governance for government.
