Module 3: Managing Message Hygiene for Government In this module, you will learn about the features and functionality of Microsoft Exchange Online Protection (EOP) for government. You will plan messaging routing to leverage anti-malware and anti-spam policies that protect your organization from spam and malware and ensure compliance with messaging policies. The module also covers configuring SPAM and malware filters, policies, and settings to safeguard users. Additionally, you will explore Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) and its role in filtering targeted attacks, including zero-day threats in email attachments and Office documents, as well as time-of-click protection for malicious URLs. You will learn how Microsoft 365 ATP protects users from advanced threats through features like safe attachments and safe links, and how it generates reports to provide administrators with insights into attacks targeting their tenants. Lessons

Module 4: Managing Compliance for Government This module begins by describing the compliance features in the Security & Compliance Center (SCC) that messaging administrators can use to meet legal and regulatory requirements. The module supports compliance in Exchange by examining the compliance tools available in the Exchange Admin Center for Exchange Server and hybrid deployments. Given the complex retention requirements of modern messaging environments, this module focuses on archiving processes in Exchange to ensure an efficient and compliant environment for users. You will also learn about additional archive storage options, automatic message processing and archiving, and audit logging in Exchange, which provides information about administrator, delegate, and user actions in mailboxes and the organization. Finally, you will explore how eDiscovery in Microsoft Exchange can help perform discovery searches for relevant content within mailboxes to meet legal discovery requirements. Lessons

- Managing Content Search for Government
Module 5: Managing Organizational Settings for Government This module begins with an examination of how to manage authentication for messaging in a government setting. The focus is on ensuring that user accounts are secure while deploying multiple security features without introducing unnecessary complexity, which could reduce business productivity and create new security risks. You will then learn about configuring organizational settings that apply to the entire organization or many users within it. Finally, you will examine how to configure organizational sharing for government operations. Lessons

Module 7: Managing Role-Based Permissions for Government This module examines how messaging administrators manage role-based permissions, an essential task for any messaging administrator in a government setting. Since Exchange Server and Exchange Online both use the Role Based Access Control (RBAC) permission model, this module covers the basics of RBAC management. The module concludes by discussing how to plan and configure permissions carefully to avoid putting your environment or Active Directory at risk. Lessons
- Managing Admin Roles for Government
- Managing User Roles for Government
- Exchange Setup - RBAC and AD Split Permission for Government
Module 8: Managing Recipient Objects and Resources for Government This module examines common tasks that messaging administrators perform, such as creating and configuring email recipients, lists, and resources. It covers the different types of Exchange Server recipients and how they differ from each other. The module then focuses on tasks required to create and manage Exchange recipients in a government setting, including user mailboxes, resource mailboxes, shared mailboxes, mail contacts, and mail users. You will also learn about managing permissions for recipients and creating and managing groups. Lessons
