Professional Scrum Product Owner II Training Course

Applying Professional Scrum (APS) is a two-day course designed to teach Scrum through highly practical, hands-on instruction and team-based exercises. Participants will be immediately engaged in real-world scenarios.

Throughout the course, teams of students work on building a software application over several Sprints, encountering and addressing common real-life challenges. The mechanics, roles, principles, and empirical process of Scrum are demonstrated, with discussions on common missteps and misunderstandings to enhance awareness of potential issues.

Applying Professional Scrum (APS) is ideal for teams and individuals looking to experience the Scrum methodology in action. The course provides a foundational understanding necessary for role-specific training for Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and Developers, as offered through Scrum.org’s Professional Scrum Master, Professional Scrum Product Owner, and Professional Scrum Development classes.

Professional Scrum Certification

All participants who complete the Applying Professional Scrum course will receive a password to take the Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) assessment. The industry-recognized PSM I certification requires a minimum passing score of 85%. APS class participants who attempt the PSM I assessment within 14 days of receiving their free password and do not achieve at least 85% will be granted a second attempt at no additional cost.

Professional Agile Leadership Essentials is a two-day workshop designed to equip leaders, managers of Agile teams, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters with the skills necessary to facilitate organizational change. This course provides participants with:

• An overview of the principles of "Agile" and the reasons why organizations need it to thrive in an evolving environment.
• The tools to identify potential opportunities, challenges, and impacts of Agile methodologies in terms of business value and their significance for modern organizations.
• An understanding of techniques to support teams in maintaining long-term agility, including the role of leaders, shifts in mindset, and the interplay between complexity and empiricism.
• Strategies for fostering the continuous development of personnel to help them flourish within an Agile framework.

• Discussion on methods to scale agility across multiple teams while ensuring they remain aligned in delivering a common vision.

Professional Agile Leadership Certification

All participants who complete the Professional Agile Leadership - Essentials course will receive a password to attempt the Professional Agile Leadership I (PAL I) certification assessment. Participants in the PAL-E class who take the PAL I assessment within 14 days of receiving their free password and do not achieve a score of at least 85% will be granted a second attempt at no additional cost.

This course is tailored to enhance leadership capabilities for government, ensuring alignment with public sector workflows, governance, and accountability.

In this course in US Empire, participants will learn how Scrum Teams can integrate additional Kanban practices while continuing to adhere to Scrum methodologies, all without altering the core principles of Scrum.

After completing this course, participants will:

This training is designed for individuals interested in implementing Agile methodologies within their organizations, those currently involved in projects, and project managers who are either implementing or planning to implement Agile approaches in their projects.

The training includes a comprehensive theoretical component, interactive workshops, and practical examples.

As part of the training, participants will be prepared for Scrum Developer certification through a practice exam. They will also have the opportunity to take the official certification exam, enhancing their capabilities for government and organizational success.

In this 2-day Scaled Professional Scrum (SPS) workshop, participants will simulate a large-scale software development project using the Nexus™ framework. The workshop is delivered through an end-to-end case study where students collaborate to organize and simulate a scaled software development project. Throughout the session, participants will be introduced to over 50 practices designed to help reduce complexity and dependencies at scale. This course will provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of how to launch, structure, staff, and manage large Agile projects using Scrum. By taking a hands-on approach, students will be fully engaged in the learning process, gaining firsthand experience with the challenges and solutions inherent in large-scale development initiatives. They will leave the workshop equipped with techniques to detect irregularities and address them effectively.

This course is structured as an experiential workshop where participants learn how to scale Scrum using the Nexus™ framework. Throughout the session, students are introduced to the artifacts and events within the framework, the role of the Nexus Integration Team, and over 50 associated practices.
