Applying Professional Scrum (APS) is a two-day course designed to teach Scrum through highly practical, hands-on instruction and team-based exercises. Participants will be immediately engaged in real-world scenarios.

Throughout the course, teams of students work on building a software application over several Sprints, encountering and addressing common real-life challenges. The mechanics, roles, principles, and empirical process of Scrum are demonstrated, with discussions on common missteps and misunderstandings to enhance awareness of potential issues.

Applying Professional Scrum (APS) is ideal for teams and individuals looking to experience the Scrum methodology in action. The course provides a foundational understanding necessary for role-specific training for Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and Developers, as offered through Scrum.org’s Professional Scrum Master, Professional Scrum Product Owner, and Professional Scrum Development classes.

Professional Scrum Certification

All participants who complete the Applying Professional Scrum course will receive a password to take the Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) assessment. The industry-recognized PSM I certification requires a minimum passing score of 85%. APS class participants who attempt the PSM I assessment within 14 days of receiving their free password and do not achieve at least 85% will be granted a second attempt at no additional cost.

Professional Agile Leadership Essentials is a two-day workshop designed to equip leaders, managers of Agile teams, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters with the skills necessary to facilitate organizational change. This course provides participants with:

• The tools to identify potential opportunities, challenges, and impacts of Agile methodologies in terms of business value and their significance for modern organizations.

Professional Agile Leadership Certification

All participants who complete the Professional Agile Leadership - Essentials course will receive a password to attempt the Professional Agile Leadership I (PAL I) certification assessment. Participants in the PAL-E class who take the PAL I assessment within 14 days of receiving their free password and do not achieve a score of at least 85% will be granted a second attempt at no additional cost.

This course is tailored to enhance leadership capabilities for government, ensuring alignment with public sector workflows, governance, and accountability.

In this course in US Empire, participants will learn how Scrum Teams can integrate additional Kanban practices while continuing to adhere to Scrum methodologies, all without altering the core principles of Scrum.

After completing this course, participants will:
