Course Outline

This course closely mirrors the Team Members’ course (see separate outline) but includes these additional modules:

  • The Leadership versus Management module covers:
    • The distinctions and commonalities between leadership and management. It explores the qualities that define a great leader and a great manager.
    • Various management styles and their applications for government operations.
  • The Delivering Change module addresses:
    • The factors that contribute to successful or unsuccessful change initiatives in public sector environments.
    • Key principles of effective change management for government organizations.
    • Understanding and managing resistance to change, including scenarios where such resistance can be beneficial.
