Course Outline

SELECTED MODELS AND TOOLS YOU WILL LEARN:

  • The Stairway to Heaven Model: A sequence of effective communication steps, including attunement, contact, contract, dialogue, influence, arrangements, and bridging to the future.
  • Principles for establishing clear contracts and business boundaries, based on Carl Rogers' principles, to avoid pitfalls such as the drama triangle and power games.
  • Understanding and countering power games and drama triangle roles (savior, persecutor, victim) in a business context to exit these unproductive dynamics.
  • The dynamics of emotional escalation and the model of constructive confrontation, based on Marshall Rosenberg's Nonviolent Communication (NVC).
  • The ABCD Model for managing emotions and practical techniques for handling difficult situations and relationships, grounded in Rational Behavioral Therapy.
  • Managing oneself on both the "inner stage" (addressing blind spots and flashpoints using Johari windows) and the leader’s “outer stage,” to transition from conflict to constructive interaction.
  • Versatile Leadership: A comprehensive leadership model that includes four dimensions of understanding one's behavior and actions internally, and four dimensions of managing oneself and relationships externally.
  • The 3E Fair Process for ensuring equity, engagement, and explanation in decision-making processes.
  • The Outcome-Based Thinking Model: Focusing on desired outcomes in communication, leadership, and management processes to achieve specific goals.
  • Understanding the other person’s decision-making process, including their problems, challenges, personal interests, business goals, and potential objections. This understanding helps in crafting a compelling business case that demonstrates return on investment and influences beliefs and actions through both logical and emotional arguments, based on Daniel Kahneman's dual-process theory.
  • The Situational Leadership Model by Blanchard, which provides a framework for adapting leadership styles to the specific needs of team members at different stages of development.
