Course Outline
Introduction
Stage 1: Understanding Yourself
To effectively understand others, it is essential to have a thorough understanding of one's own behaviors and needs.
- Team members will complete the PRISM BRAIN MAPPING survey.
- Each team member will participate in an individual meeting with a certified PRISM trainer to discuss their report.
During these meetings, participants will gain insights into:
- Their strengths, potential weaknesses, and challenges in collaborating with others.
- The extent to which they are leveraging their full potential.
- Actions that may cause stress.
- The work environment where they feel most productive.
- What they need to effectively cooperate and communicate with colleagues.
Leaders will have two meetings:
- A discussion of the report, focusing on their leadership style, its strengths, and potential challenges or difficulties that may arise from this approach.
- A comparative analysis of the leader's preference profile against the team’s preferences. This session will enhance the leader’s understanding of how their leadership style impacts the team for government operations.
Stage 2: Understanding The Team
To foster a deeper understanding of others, it is valuable to explore both the similarities and differences among team members. Similarities build rapport, while differences encourage diverse perspectives and enhance creativity and innovation in problem-solving.
- A training session with workshop elements will be conducted to examine the characteristics of different behavior preferences, their interdependencies, and how they influence communication and collaboration. This segment will help participants understand the origins of human behaviors and attitudes, promoting openness to varied approaches for government.
- Discussions on individual preferences, strengths, motivators, needs, and cooperation challenges. Identifying commonalities and significant differences within the team.
- A dialogue on cooperation challenges and the development of strategies to address them.
- An analysis of the team profile according to PRISM, including team strengths, potential weaknesses, communication requirements, and collaboration needs for government operations.
- Identifying areas where the team can enhance its efficiency and exploring how to leverage team strengths to achieve this goal.
Stage 3: Effective Communication With The Client
A solid understanding of one's own strengths, needs, and challenges, coupled with a comprehensive awareness of diverse perspectives within the team, provides a robust foundation for better comprehending client needs and tailoring communication methods accordingly. This approach enables more effective addressing of client requirements and offering superior services and products that solve their most pressing issues.
During the training, participants will:
- Discuss challenges in client interactions and their underlying sources.
- Learn to identify different clients' behavior preferences and adapt communication methods accordingly.
- Determine which messages are likely to engage a client with specific preferences and which should be avoided to prevent barriers to cooperation.
- Practice various forms of tailored messages for different client types, enhancing their ability to customize communication strategies.
